Invisible Disabilities

So often when one thinks about disabilities, the focus is on those that are easy to see and may be physical in nature. We need to unlearn this notion. In this course, you will learn about accessibility and ableism. You will explore invisible disabilities, and how to support those with invisible needs.

Creating Safe & Inclusive Spaces

A high level of safety and inclusion in the spaces we occupy should be the standard, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Especially in the workplace where employees are working alongside and being managed by people from incredibly diverse backgrounds, it is important to learn the best practices that have been shown to create and maintain safety and inclusion.

Creating Safer Spaces in The Classroom

The course is meant to be a guide for activities to be implemented in the classroom. Student voice is centred in everything. The aim is to build the most inclusive, safest space possible for all learners to thrive. This course is designed with both interactive activities and additional resource sharing. These exercises are to be re-visited throughout the year and will in turn lead to a way of thinking and doing. 

Islamophobia

In this course, participants will deepen their understanding of what Islamophobia is, what it looks like in society, and the impact it has on Muslim families.
