Special Guest: Sarrah Beemer (She/Her)

We are thrilled to have Sarrah Beemer, creator of the e-course "Invisible Disabilities," as our special guest speaker. With over 17 years of experience as an educator, Sarrah currently serves as a K-12+ Equity and Inclusion Curriculum Leader at Upper Grand District School Board. For this past year, she worked as the K-12+ Accessibility and Ableism Curriculum Leader.

Her valuable insights and experiences will provide you with a unique perspective on supporting students with invisible disabilities. Notably, Sarrah's expertise was honed during her tenure as the department head of Special Education at a rural high school, where she also taught English and Indigenous Studies. Her holistic approach to education, prioritizing the well-being of every student, is evident in her work. Additionally, as a trained social worker, she actively supports student mental health, fostering a comprehensive learning environment.
